ASPNET Web API 2 Hands-On is a professional course from Udemy whose instructor teaches how to implement RESTful web services with the ASP.NET Web API 2 framework. Web services are widely used in mobile systems, and Rest is one of the most popular methods for doing so.
In RESTful architecture, in fact, the URI strings communicate with the server and the result is returned to the consumer. For example, there are web-based services that developers get the geographical location of by sending the title of the city. This is actually done using web services. In this course you will be taught how to implement these web services yourself.
Using Web API 2 in the course title does not mean that you should already be familiar with Web API 1. Training Assuming you have no information on this subject, start from scratch and move on to the next step. The only prerequisite for the course is an initial acquaintance with the Sisharp language. Having basic knowledge of jQuery and experience building web applications also speeds up understanding of concepts but is not essential.
At the end of the course you will learn how to build RESTful web services with Web API 2. Learn how to implement GET, POST, PUT and DELETE requests using Ajax and JQuery. Learn how to use the Attribute Routing introduced in WEB API 2, which allows you to control REST web services with custom URIs. The instructor has also avoided the Code First method in the Entity Framework to save database design time.
