Google Drive is a file storage service launched in 2012 by Google. Google Drive allows users to save and sync their phone, tablet and computer files to Google servers. In addition to the web version, this product is also available in several other versions for Android, iOS, Mac and Windows platforms. Google Drive is integrated with other Google products such as Google Docs, Google Sheet and Google Slide, and team members can work on files as a group. When a team member publishes a document on Google Docs, the created file is automatically placed in Google Drive and other team members can view and edit it.
Google Drive provides its users with 15 GB of free space and 100 GB, 1, 2, 10, 20 and 30 terabytes through paid plans. Uploaded files can be up to 5 terabytes in size. Users can define access permissions on files and specify the type of sharing with other people. In the web version, users are able to search for images by describing images or in natural language. The website and Android application of this product have a section for backup and storage on the computer. The number of active users of this service reached 800 million in March 2017, and according to 2015 statistics, more than one million users have used the paid plans of this product. In May 2017, more than 2 trillion files were placed on Google Drive.
